THE DAVENPORT HOUSE SHOWCASE EVENT
I’m so excited to tell you about this incredible Davenport House showcase event. It was my first time being invited to one and I was so humbled to of been asked. Davenport is certainly one of my new favourite venues and you’ll see why in the photos!
I’ve been to many wedding fayres in my career, but this was very different in a good way. Traditionally you have tables set up and people come and chat to you. The Davenport House showcase wasn’t like that at all. Couples walk around the venue and just chat to us, while we too walk around. It’s all very relaxed and makes for a wonderful environment.
WHY I LOVE THIS VENUE
If you didn’t make it to make the Davenport House experience event nor have you seen the venue, it’s truly special! Nestled away in rural England surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes, this period property is simply majestic! It has everything a Birmingham wedding photographer would look for! Amazing groups, incredible architecture, and so many incredible photo opportunities!
SO WHY DID I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE VENUE?
Typically at a wedding fayre or showcase, I wouldn’t take the camera along, but how could I resist! When Lizzie asked me to capture some detail shots of the Davenport House showcase, I was happy to oblige! I’m currently testing a new camera from Nikon, so this was the perfect chance to put it through its paces.
In my Birmingham wedding photography, I’m fortunate enough to test a lot of new equipment. I’ll be doing a full review of this camera soon!
To be honest, I was spoilt for choice upon arrival, the venue was fully dressed and looked to die for! I started on the rooms and then captured all the little intricate details to help tell the story! I really hope you enjoy looking through all the images.
