A DAY TO REMEMBER AT THE MILL BARNS, SHROPSHIRE.
I am not even sure where to start with this wedding… it literally was out of this world! Amy & Scott, you were the dream couple to work with! Your laughter and smiles were so infectious and it really comes across in your photos! Add the Mill Barns & a sunny autumnal day into this equation and you just can’t go wrong!
BRIDAL PREP!
As always I arrived early as I can’t stand the thought of being late for someone’s wedding, it really is the stuff of nightmares for me! The sun was out and it looked like we were in for a proper autumnal wedding! The leaves were turning gorgeous shades of orange and red, I knew I was in for a treat. Now it was time to start bridal prep and the girls were all in great spirits. I’ve probably said it a million times already but I really enjoy this time of the day, as I am free to be much more creative. This is because this part of the wedding isn’t as time sensitive.
Amy was ready so early, I even got time to go and see what Scott & the boys were up to. Amy had got him some very heartfelt gifts which did bring up a little emotion! It’s alright to cry to lads, if there’s ever a time for it, your wedding day is a good enough excuse 🙂
THE CEREMONY AT THE MILL BARNS
I’ve done a lot of weddings at this prestigious venue and each has been so unique. Amy & Scotts was no different, they had gorgeous decorations everywhere matching the season and very festive pumpkins everywhere! Again it was nice to see Scott a bit emotional, as Amy came down the isle in her stunning ‘Essence of Australia’ gown. I don’t think there were many dry eyes left in the building by the time they said ‘I do’
THE CELEBRATIONS
Now, this is where Amy & Scott really stepped it up a level! I’d been told we were having, sparkler photos, smoke grenades, champagne spraying, a host the roast, and singing waiters. It sounds like an action-packed day, it certainly was and I loved it!! When I think of a wedding, I think of happy-go-lucky couples, who just want to have fun and not take themselves too seriously. Amy & Scott really were the epitome of that.
Now as we enter the autumn and colder months, I never get my hopes up for sunsets as they are less frequent and a real stroke of luck! However, the stars really did align for these two, and we were blessed with one hell of a performance by mother nature! This did come at a slight cost though and it’s worth discussing this. I had to whip the newlyweds away from their dessert to get those last few pics as had I waited, the sun would have gone below the horizon!
My advice here is always to consider the golden hour when planning your big day. During the summer months, it’s not so much of a thing but during autumn and winter, you really do need to plan it. I can help you with that and will always offer you plenty of advice!
THANK YOU!
I feel I need to take this opportunity to thank Amy & Scott for allowing me to be a part of their big day! I loved every minute of it and can’t wait for you to see the final gallery!
