A DAY TO REMEMBER AT HEDSOR HOUSE, LONDON.
Now, this was one of the most spectacular weddings I’ve shot in the past few years! This venue really is something special! It’s been used in so many movies over the years and I can see why. It is quintessentially British in every way, I love it! Couple that with one of the largest bridal gowns I’ve ever photographed and you’re onto a winner!
BRIDAL PREP!
I arrived really early in the morning as I’d not been to Hedsor House before. I spent an hour looking around the grounds and building. This just ensures I am fully prepared for your big day and know where all the best locations are! It was now time to head over to find ‘Daria’ and the girls for bridal prep. The room was to die for with the largest and most opulent bathroom I’ve ever seen! Not to mention the natural light was just gorgeous which always makes me happy! The energy that morning was palpable and I loved capturing all the moments. Around halfway through I knew it was time to go and pay ‘Lau’ a visit to see how he was getting on.
Lau was just down the Hall getting ready with friends and family. The light again was incredible and allowed me to create some great photos. There is one in particular that I love of his mum helping him with his collar, be sure to look out for it!
THE CEREMONY AT HEDSOR HOUSE
The ceremony is one of my all-time favourite moments on a wedding day. This is a time when sometimes the whole room cries! That’s right lads, it does happen even to you and way more often than you might think! I am pretty sure Lau shed a few little tears when Daria came down the aisle in her show-stopping gown! It was a lovely ceremony full of emotional speeches and laughter. You have to see the space they had their vows too, honestly like something out of a fairytale!
THE CELEBRATIONS
After the ceremony, the couple mingled with their guests in Hedsor House’s lovely grounds. Canapés were served and friends and relatives relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.
Soon after we went to the front of the house for family photos, as the backdrop is to die for! As a wedding photographer one piece of advice, I will offer you, is to take half an hour after your ceremony to just be with your family & friends. This is so important and allows those beautiful candid moments to unfold!
So now it was time for the couples’ portraits. One of three times we went out that day. During the morning it had been quite overcast and I wasn’t sure if we would see the sun, but to my delight, it made an appearance! We set off around the estate of the gorgeous ‘Hedsor House’ and I did my best to encapsulate its beauty from every angle. Daria & Lau were so easy to photograph, they had a clear vision of what they wanted and bossed every pose I threw at them. We later went out for a sunset and some really cool nighttime photos. Be sure to have a look at those, night photography at weddings is something I really love to offer!
THANK YOU!
I would like to express my utmost thanks to Daria & Lau, for choosing me to photograph their incredible wedding. As it always is, it really was a privilege and I’ll never forget this fairytale wedding or the stunning Hedsor House in London. I really hope to be back at the venue sometime soon as I feel very drawn to this wonderful location!
