A DAY TO REMEMBER AT DAVENPORT HOUSE, SHROPSHIRE.

So where do I begin? This was an amazing wedding for so many reasons! As a Davenport House photographer, I’ve seen so many gorgeous weddings here, and this was no exception! With it being August we got amazing weather, which always lifts everyones spirits! I probably say this all the time, but I had a smile on my face the entire day! Christie was one of the happiest people I’ve ever met and I think it shows on their photos 🙂

BRIDAL PREP!

Arriving early as I always do, I really love to tell the full story! The getting ready at Davenport House, for the girls happens in two stages. They start off in the coach house and then move over to the bridal suite later in the morning. For me as a Davenport House photographer, it’s really important to document the full story so I that’s why I like to start early. Besides, some of the best moments happen in bridal prep! The excitement of what’s ahead is building and the nerves are starting to get real! Bridal prep with Christie and the girls was a dream to shoot. We had such stunning light pouring through the windows and everyone was having a great time! When these two things come together, it makes for wonderful photos!

THE CEREMONY AT DAVENPORT HOUSE

I’ve done a lot of weddings at this exclusive venue and each has been so unique. Christie & David’s was no different, they had dressed the room beautifully and the atmosphere was palpable! Now if you’ve followed me for awhile you will know I LOVE the staircase at Davenport House! For me it’s one of the best in the business and I always recommend to brides they enter the room via the stairs, it’s a wonderful shot! I am happy to report that Christie did just that and I love the photo of her and her dad. As a Davenport House photographer, not only do I strive for great pics, I’m also here to help guide you through your big day 🙂

THE CELEBRATIONS

WOW, this was one of those weddings you don’t forget in a hurry! After an emotional and heart warming ceremony it was time to get outside for the celebrations! With the sun beaming down we all head outside, to the beautiful gardens at the rear of Davenport House. This location is a dream for a Davenport House photographer, as the lighting is amazing! Christie & David made their way round, sharing themselves with friends & family. These are the moments I live for, the natural candid photos! I like to be an old friend of the day, blending in becoming one of the crowd. This really allows me to capture the authentic feel of your wedding. So there was a big surprise for most of the guests… we had singing waiters! I always love the reactions on peoples faces when this happens! Make sure you scroll down to the pics to have a look. We had sing alongs and a conga! Sounds like fun right? You’ve never seen anything like it, I’d recommend it every time!

Finally to round this incredible day off, Christie & David were lucky enough to get a sunset! I was watching like a hawk and whisked them off to get some magical photos. As a Davenport House photographer, I will always be mindful of this and be your eyes and ears on the day for the weather. Leaving you to relax and know you’re in good hands.
